I literally had no idea that I was going to be leaving Just For Dogs that day and I nearly didnt get to say goodbye to my best friend Flora, but luckily we caught her on the way out and we got to have a quick play before I left.
I woke up just like normal, next to Flora, wagged my tail a bit and was fetched to go with Ebony, Mum and Keeley, just like we were going on a usual dog walk, but we didnt go for a walk. We spent forever in reception, I have no idea what they were doing but they were writing on paper and everything looked very official. I was more interested in the dog food in the freezer though, mmmm! They were talking for ages and I just wanted to go for my walk.
Our photo that went on the Just For Dogs Faceboook page. As you can see, I was definitely more interested in the food in the freezer. |
When we finaaaaaally left reception, we went to a white car, I had never been in one of them before and I was unsure at first, Mum had to lift me in. It was exciting, seeing all the new things around me and experiencing new things. I did wonder where we were going though. Were we going on an adventure somewhere else? Were we going to a different country? Was I going to their home? Yes, I was going to their house, well, my house too now, I shortly realised.
In the car on the way home. |
I have never really been in a house before so it was awesome, but I did know that I had a lot of exploring to do. As soon as my lead was off, that was it, I was off. There were so many new smells and so many things I hadnt seen before. Thankfully, after searching the whole house I realised that there were no other animals in the house, I am the only one- lucky me. I am not good at sharing attention, I need it all. I love cuddles and tummy rubs.
It didnt take me long to settle in and get a cuddle! |
There was so many new noises and it made me excited. |
Ebony must have been so smiley because she brought me home, I mean, who wouldnt be? |
When I had done exploring, I settled down for a bit on the sofa and I had a drink from my new water bowl. I then had a few biscuits too but I wasnt really that hungry. I do love holding hands with Ebony though, it makes me feel safe.
Hold my hand! |
Then I got to explore the area around where I live now! There are so many trees, we live near a mini wood and there is so many flowers in it and places to hide. Theres a stream and I have found my love for water, I love splashing around and seeing what I can find. And I just love shaking off at the end and getting as many people wet as I can. Theres ducks, so many ducks and I even saw some chicks! Theres so much grass- my favourite is long grass, I love running through long grass! I just love where I live now and I discovered this on my gotcha day.
Admiring the view. |
We also visited my Nan and Grandads house on my gotcha day too. We visited at the end of the walk before we turned home. They have a big garden with quite low fences, I dont think I am quite ready to be let off my lead just yet, they might have a scare else! We then went home for cuddles- I wasnt joking when I said I loved cuddles. Especially with Ebony, but I am liking them a bit more with Mum and my other sister, Keeley. I still have some work to do with Dad but we will get there!
Aaaaaaand sleep. |
Guess where I slept that night? I slept on Ebony's bed. On a bed. An actual bed. I dont think I was supposed to though, my own bed was originally downstairs but I didnt want to sleep on my own so Mum moved it upstairs down the side of Ebony's bed. Still, it wasnt close enough to Ebony so I ended up in bed with her, lay on her actually.
Snuggles until I fell asleep and started snoring. |
And that concludes my gotcha day! I had such a fun day and I cant wait for the future with my new family!
